Our role in the sale. We are the direct provider of the services: KEFI GROUP S.R.L. sells the courses in its own name, teaches them through the teacher Oana Olivia Neicu, collects the payment and issues the invoice for every payment. We do not act as an intermediary, agent or marketplace for other sellers.

The services

The Academy offers English courses, one-to-one (90-minute 1-to-1 lessons) and in small groups, online or in person in Brăila. The description, timetable and price of each programme are on the programme’s page.

Groups have a fixed timetable, shown on the programme’s page, and a limited number of places. Each level is split into modules (for example, a General English module has 12 lessons over 6 weeks), and each module is paid for separately.

The level test is only a guide. Results in courses and exams also depend on each student’s commitment, so we do not guarantee reaching a particular level or a particular exam result.

Your account

  • You create your account with your first order, or you receive it from Oana via an access link. Please use real details and let us know if they change.
  • Your password is personal. If you think someone else has found it out, change it from your Profile or use “Forgot password”.
  • For a student under 18, the account and the order are made by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for them.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown and paid in Romanian lei (RON) and are final prices. A 1-to-1 lesson currently costs 120 lei. The price of a group module is shown on the programme’s page and when you enrol.
  • Payment methods: bank card online (Visa or Mastercard), through the payment processor NETOPIA Payments; bank transfer; cash, directly to Oana.
  • When you pay by card, you enter your card details directly on the secure NETOPIA Payments page; we never see or store them. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate.
  • When you join a group, you pay for the module you start with: in full or, where the programme allows it, in instalments. The first instalment is paid when you enrol, and the next one by the date shown in your account (usually halfway through the module).
  • Each following module is paid from your account when it begins, at the price in force when you enrolled.
  • If you join a group after a module has started, you pay only for the lessons left in that module.
  • For every payment, the tax document required by law is issued by KEFI GROUP S.R.L..
  • A price change does not affect lessons you have already paid for.

How the contract is concluded

The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. You see the confirmation on screen straight away, and the lessons you bought or your place in the group appear in your account. The contract is concluded in English when you use the English version of the website (or in Romanian if you use the Romanian version), and you can find your order history at any time in your account, under Payments.

Delivery of the services

We sell educational services only: English courses. We do not deliver physical products, so there are no shipping costs or delivery times.

  • When you get access: as soon as your card payment is confirmed. The lessons you bought or your place in the group appear straight away in your account on the website. If you pay by bank transfer or in cash, access appears once Oana records the payment.
  • 1-to-1 lessons are booked by you, from the calendar in your account (see “Booking 1-to-1 lessons”).
  • Group lessons follow the group’s timetable, from the start date shown in your account and on the programme’s page.
  • Online lessons take place by video call, on the link you find in your account, next to each lesson. You need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera, a microphone and an internet connection. In-person lessons, where the programme offers them, take place in Brăila, at the address shown in your account.
  • Each lesson lasts 90 minutes.
  • Course materials are in your account, under Materials, in electronic format.

If you cannot find something you bought in your account, email us at contact@academiadeengleza.ro or call us on 0745 055 310.

Booking 1-to-1 lessons

  • You book your lessons yourself, from the calendar in your account, in the time slots when Oana takes students.
  • Green: the slot is free and the lesson is confirmed straight away. Yellow: Oana already has a lesson at that time; the booking waits for her confirmation, and if she cannot accept it, the lesson goes back to your account so you can choose another time. Red: the slot is not available.
  • A lesson can be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Groups

  • Your place in a group is reserved as soon as your payment is confirmed.
  • If a group has no start date yet, Oana will tell you the date before the first lesson. If the group does not start, we refund in full what you paid for it.
  • You can leave a group at the end of any module. Let us know before the next module starts, so that you do not pay for it.
  • At the end of a level, the group continues with the next level, on the same timetable, unless you tell us you will not continue.

Cancellation and refunds

Moving or cancelling a lesson

  • At least 48 hours in advance, you can move or cancel a 1-to-1 lesson yourself, directly from your account, at no cost. The cancelled lesson goes back to your account and you can book it for another time.
  • Less than 48 hours in advance, the lesson can only be moved with Oana’s agreement; you can contact her on WhatsApp or by phone. If you cannot agree on another time, or if you do not turn up for the lesson, it counts as taken.
  • Group lessons follow the group’s timetable. A student’s absence does not move the group’s lesson, is not made up, and does not reduce the price of the module.
  • If Oana has to cancel a lesson, she will let you know as soon as possible and you will rearrange it together, at no cost to you. If you cannot find another time, we will refund the lesson.

Leaving a group

You can leave a group at the end of any module, by letting us know before the next module starts (see “Groups”). In the first 14 days after payment you can withdraw at any time, as described in the next section.

When we refund you

  • when you withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it (see “Right of withdrawal”), minus the lessons already held;
  • when Oana cancels a lesson and you cannot find another time together;
  • when the group you enrolled in does not start; in that case we refund in full what you paid for it.

How you get the money back

  • We refund within 14 days at most, by the same payment method you used (unless we agree otherwise), at no cost to you.
  • A card payment is refunded to the same card, through NETOPIA Payments. Depending on your bank, the money may take a few working days to appear in your account.

Right of withdrawal (14 days)

Under Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 34/2014, as a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving any reason.

  • The simplest way, online: press Withdraw from contract here (the link is always in the website footer and in your account), fill in your name, the order and your email address, then press “Confirm withdrawal”. You receive an acknowledgement of receipt with the content of your request, the date and the time.
  • You can also send us a clear statement by email, to contact@academiadeengleza.ro. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to.
  • You meet the deadline if you send your withdrawal before the 14 days are up.
  • We will refund your money within 14 days at most of receiving your statement, using the same payment method you used, at no extra cost.
  • When you order, you expressly ask us to start the lessons before the 14 days have passed, so that you can book them straight away. If you withdraw after some lessons have already taken place, you only pay for the lessons taken (or counted as taken, as described in the section above), at the price of one lesson each (for groups, the module price divided by the number of lessons in the module), and you get the rest of your money back.
  • If all the lessons you bought have been taken within the 14 days, you can no longer exercise the right of withdrawal, under Art. 16(a) of OUG no. 34/2014; you confirmed that you knew this when you placed your order.
